Rev. Kevin L. McMachen
Lead Pastor, Woodcrest Methodist Church
Rev. Kevin McMachen serves as Lead Pastor at Woodcrest Methodist Church, where he is devoted to helping people deepen their relationship with Jesus through worship, teaching, and authentic community. Kevin brings a pastor’s heart to preaching, pastoral care, and equipping disciples for faithful living — both inside the sanctuary and throughout the community.
Ministry & Vision
Kevin’s ministry centers on forming strong, connected communities that pursue spiritual growth and practical service. He leads weekly worship and the church’s podcast The Way of Discipleship, which explores what it means to live out a vibrant, Christ-centered faith in everyday life. Under his leadership, Woodcrest emphasizes intentional discipleship, community outreach, and ministries that engage families, youth, and adults in meaningful ways.
Education & Research
Kevin completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston’s Bauer Honors College of Business and earned a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He is currently a Doctoral student at Asbury Theological Seminary, where his research focuses on creating authentic discipleship paradigms for leaders of the local church — equipping pastors and lay leaders to form healthy, sustainable, and transformational ministries.
Personal Life
Kevin is married to Dawn, and together they cherish their family and time spent in fellowship with others. Music and worship have always been central to Kevin’s life, and he enjoys integrating music, Scripture, and story to draw people closer to Christ. Beyond the pulpit, he is passionate about mentoring young leaders and encouraging others to live with purpose and faithfulness.
